| What services do you provide?
Basically, if it can be printed on anything we can handle it. Custom logos, graphics, photography, digital imaging, ad layouts and videography to name a few. That means that we can handle any design or printing assignment. Who are your clients? Clients range from individuals working at home to corporate accounts. About eighty percent of clients contact us via our website and the remainder usually comes from referrals and work for hire. We live in an age where nearly everything is electronic and we take full advantage of the technology available. We know that your time is valuable and we work around your schedule. Each client can view their project via our website in the comfort of their office or home. We've worked with MANY clients that we have not met face to face. How can I view my proofs? We have several different methods. If clients have access to the internet we've set up special pages through our website that can be viewed by the client. If the client doesn't have internet access, we provide colour proofs. Can I pay by credit card? Yes, we are currently accepting PayPal. Do I have to sign a contract? Yes, we do require the signing of our standard contract and also 50% deposit payment up front before any work can begin for ANY client. The contract is very straight-forward and meant only to protect our rights and that of the client. Basically, the contract simply states what services we have agreed to provide, and the amount the client has agreed to pay and explains relevant copyright laws. The contract can be mailed to the client or sent via email. The email file is a fully printable pdf which can be printed at your home or office. We will be more than happy to address any questions or concerns you might have about our contract. How will I get my art from you? Since almost all artwork now is provided in a digital format emailing a client artwork is usually not a problem. We can also Fedex or mail our clients their artwork on disk, to anywhere in the world, in a format all commercial printers can utilise. Will my art work on my web-site? YES! All websites will use either J-PEG or GIF (pronounced JIF) images at 72 ppi (pixels per inch) the standard resolution. All vector artwork we create for our clients is also saved in both j-peg and gif when the design is finished at no extra cost. I found some artwork can you use it in my design? Unfortunately not, almost everything (except for clip art, which is public domain) is protected under copyright laws. We fully respect all copyright laws and will never infringe upon the copyright of another artists work. If a client or agency uses work without the permission of the artist or photographer, they could and should be sued. What programs do you use? We use only the industry standard programs used in the profession. All artwork is designed using the Apple Macintosh System. Any professional printing press will be able to work with any design's we create. I have created my own design on my PC at home - can you use it? The quick answer is probably not. It's very hard for designers at this present moment in time where nearly every household owns a home computer. There are all kinds of design programs on the market today that are targetted for the home computer novice. Many produce excellent results but should still be considered for home use only. We work with professional design programs and have many years experience in their use. The best way to sum it up would be to say that a person can pass a first aid class in less than a week - but it takes years to become a doctor. |
